Ethan's Contract on Captain Guard

Ethan dashed across the rooftops of San Giovanni District buildings. They were all around in the same height making the traveling easier. Of course at some spots the roof would be slightly higher than on other. In that time Ethan would use his free running to climb up the wall and continue his run. Ethan was heading towards Palazzo della Signoria - a large stone building with tower.
Each step was like a drop of feather as Ethan made his move across the rooftops avoiding any guard encounter.
This was going to be his very first contract where he better show some good results.
Ethan's plan was to be there while nobody would really know, exactly what is needed for the perfect assassination.

He stopped right before the large field that was near Palazzo della Signoria. Ethan squatted on edge of a high house moving his eye sight from one spot to another to locate his target.
Everything went gray as the eagle vision was activated in Ethan's eyes. Looking for a red glow nearby Palazzo della Signoria.

"Haha, you sure your wife won't find out that your at that courtesan's house after work." One of the fellow archers said as he nudged the captain a bit. "Nah she won't anyway lets go back to work." He responded as he gently pushed the archer back. The Captain then told three archers to go up on the rooftops to patrol up there. He then told 5 guards, two lightweight, agile guards, two medium armored guards, and one heavy guard to patrol the Palazzo Della Signoria on the ground. The Captain then walked inside of the the building and went upstairs to his room as he went on to finish up some paperwork he had to do. He was on the third floor of the building as he was well protected by the three archers as they all had prefect vision of the captain and his room to protect along with patrolling the rooftops. He also had the 5 guards walking around in pairs of 2 and 3, 2 of the lightweight together and the rest together. The Captain sighed as he went on writing.

After area has been scanned Ethan noticed his target going inside Palazzo della Signoria and seven hostile enemies.
Long range wasn't Ethan's strong side so he would first plan to take down the archers and then rest of the five guards that were patrolling rooftops. Ethan even expected to be noticed with so many guards, which is why he must act as fast as he can.
Ethan stood up and backed a bit away from edge of building. With a small hit noise - Ethan's foot against the roof of a building Ethan activated his sprint boost and began running as fast as he can around the rooftops to the archers in a zig-zag way so archers would have more chances of missing.

If Ethan would make it to archers with no major injuries, he would attempt to do a quick duck at first archer and stab the archer's stomach with own dagger deep and lower enemy count to six with one target.

The guards on the ground, were minding their own business as they were just patrolling around the building. One of the three archers went behind the building as he was out of site from everyone, and for him he couldn't see anyone as well. Two archers were still in view of each other as they were walking back and forth. Hearing steps as if something was running at him, one of archers went into offense as he saw a man coming towards him. He raised his crossbow up as he loaded it with a bolt and shot at the man, since the man was to fast for the archer eyes he missed just by a inch as the bolt went right pass the man's leg. Before he even could load up the man was already beside him as he felt a dagger hitting him straight into the stomach, as he dropped to his knees and coughed out blood he dropped down to the rooftop and died. With all of this noise the another archer saw his friend go down, and loaded up his crossbow as he shot one bolt heading towards the man's arm. The archer was on another rooftop so if the man had to kill him he had to either kill him by far or jump across.

(Btw There is 8 Guards in all, now 7. Since 3 Archers and 5 Guards on the ground.)

Ethan took a deep breath at himself after first attack success. One down - seven to go. Since there was only one possible long-ranger that could see the kill (while other one had everyone out of sight) Ethan tried to hold the corpse he just killed and attempt turn it to side that would block the crossbow's bolt path between Ethan and the archer.
Ethan dropped the corpse down after that and picked up crossbow that was laying on the rooftop now that earlier belonged to archer he just killed. He loaded it up with an arrow which the archer earlier didn't finish loading up before kill as fast as he can, hopefully before other archer would shoot again. Ethan aimed at the other archer and shot a bolt towards him. Ethan was not a good long-range fighter so he had small experience with crossbows, it was only luck that would decide if he hit or not.

The adrenaline was increase with each kill Ethan did and his heart beat started hitting stronger and faster, soon enough killing would become a habit for Ethan. But he still understood that his blade must be kept away from a flesh of an innocent.

The Archer saw everything that was happening in front of him, as he saw a arrow fly towards him, he easily dodged it as the the arrow wasn't quite aimed well enough for the archer to be killed. Thinking that the man he had in his site had horrible aim he thought it was now his chance to kill him. He loaded up his crossbow as he shot again, this time aiming for the man's head. Even since he was an archer he had a 50 50 chance of actually killing the man. But as soon as he shot the arrow he thought he would tell the guards down below that there was an assassin up here. Has he yelled out, calling the guards. Since he was up at the rooftops there was a chance that none of the guards could hear him. If the man wanted to stay in a fight with just one against one, he had to kill the archer before he called again.

Ethan jumped down to avoid the arrow that was flying towards his head. While the guard took time to yell to guards that were down below, Ethan took an arrow from the dead archer and loaded up the crossbow again.
Instead of shooting, Ethan began running across the rooftops making steps light as a feather to get closer to the archer for better aim and better chances of hitting the archer, which were pretty low right now.
In one hand Ethan held his sharp dagger but in other the crossbow he took from archer he killed. When the archer that was alive will aim towards Ethan Ethan will try to avoid that arrow by running a bit to side that would be still hard to avoid considering that crossbows shoot fast arrows. At any chance, Ethan will try to either avoid the arrow or get hit in a body spot that isn't vital or has a metal protector. Hopefully one of those would succeed.

The archer noticed that his yell was enough for the other guards to hear, so he yelled once more. "ASSASSINO!" He yelled. Finally the guards on the ground heard it, but only two of the agile heard. While the other three were called up into the building by the captain. The two agile guards, quickly got up on to the roofs, by running up the walls of the houses, and climbing up. As soon as they were up on the rooftops they went full speed ahead and headed towards the assassin, they were just a few meters away. As the archer loaded up his crossbow and took aim again, this time the arrow shot towards the man's leg, but with his metal protector there was a slim chance of hitting him. As the archer panicked a bit of how quick the assassin was and how close he was getting. He loaded up once again and shot heading towards the chest of the man. With all of this noise happening on top of the rooftops the last archer that was earlier behind the building away from everyone was now out, and taking aim to the assassin. He tried to steady his shot so that when he fired he could have a perfect kill.

The first arrow that was shot towards Ethan's leg would barely even scratch the metal piece legs were always on the move in fast rate giving low chances of hitting. But second arrow that was fired towards Ethan's chest would be attempted to be dodged by stepping to side. Because of the short distance between Ethan and the archer, the arrow flied fast enough to scratch arm during the turn to side.
Ethan was pretty close to the second archer now that he ran towards to. He aimed with crossbow in his hand that had only one arrow loaded. With no mercy or thinking even for a second Ethan shot the archer aiming for neck as he had pretty big chances now.

Guards were now surrounding Ethan and chances of winning were pretty slim now.
Ethan ran towards edge of the rooftop he was standing on and jumped down to land in a large wooden cart with pile of hay inside. For a second there was a squeak from the weight that fell inside the cart.
Ethan jumped out of the cart and ran to the entrance doors of Palazzo della Signoria as fast as he could.

The second archer tried to reload but as he looked up he saw an arrow heading towards his neck, it was a kill shot. The archer felt the impact as the arrow penetrated his neck, causing blood to pour everywhere. He dropped to the roof top and died as the last archer looked at his fellow comrade dying at the hands of the assassin. He then saw the assassin drop down to the ground and saw him heading for the door of the Palazzo della Signoria. "Guards STOP HIM!" The agile guards then followed the assassin to the ground, as they both jumped into the hay stack one after at the other. Since they were the agile, quick guards they caught up with the assassin close enough to strike. One of the agile guards pulled out his dagger as he jumped on top of the assassin trying to end his life there. The archer also followed the agile and the assassin, but he was still on the roof top as he aimed again and had his crossbow at the assassin's body just in case if the agile failed at killing him. The last agile pulled his dagger as he stood behind of the 1st agile just for back up.

Thinking that the entrance doors of Palazzo della Signoria were just in reach of hands Ethan suddenly heard another footsteps rushing towards him and being really close. He turned around opened his eyes wide as he saw one of the guards attempting an attack from above. No thinking was done and as an immediate reaction Ethan span around the first agile guard out of the sword slash path. These very seconds more important than anything while first agile guard was in air after jump his turn around and attack. Ethan used his dagger to attempt at piercing it through second guard's chest that was behind the first guard. If this would be a success, Ethan would use the body as a shield from any arrows that would be shot from the archer on rooftop.

Every second in this battle was important and every opening was critical. Ethan can't risk on his life or failing his very first mission.

The first agile guard missed his attack as he rolled on the ground to make a counter attack but he was a bit too late. Just after he rolled and looked up he saw his fellow guard dead on the ground, as the assassin had successfully stabbed the second guard. Since the second guard didn't see it coming and had a later reaction he was killed instantly with the stab. With now only one agile guard and one archer left from the inside the assassin had to quickly kill them both before the other guards came out. The archer on the rooftops took aim once again, but as he saw the assassin use the dead guard's body for cover. The archer didn't shoot as he waited again for a clear shot. The agile guard then launched an attack once again, as he grabbed the dead body, and tried to throw it away, so that he may stab the assassin or at less try to.

Right now Ethan was sure that he is protected from the archer at above as long as he held the corpse up. But defending with only one arm would be pretty hard but Ethan had a trick up his sleeve to assassinate this soldier so he could later come up with a plan to kill the archer above.
Ethan used his own dagger that he hold in his hand, which was not holding the corpse. Aiming for the soldiers foot, Ethan threw his dagger hoping to hit either on foot or leg. Then Ethan would continue by picking up the dead soldier's weapon and use it to attempt at finishing off the alive soldier by stabbing him in neck.
First plan was to make the pain in leg or foot distract the soldier and make him bend down or from pain somehow look away from Ethan so Ethan could do an attack while the soldier was not looking. If the soldier wouldn't get distracted by the pain, well, then Ethan would just have to fight the soldier but at least the soldier would become clumsy.
But right now it all was depending on either Ethan would hit or not.

The agile guard moved up closer to the assassin, as he saw a shadow of his dagger in his hand. The guard thought he had to be carefully and had to be quick if anything should happen. He then moved back as he saw a dagger fly, aimed at his leg or foot. He dodged it carefully but when he dodge, he lost a bit of his balance from it as he was now an open target to kill. The assassin could kill the agile guard but he had to take a risk at it, since he still had the archer up on the rooftop one slip up or anything could get the assassin killed by an arrow.

Ethan saw the great opportunity he had been given and he could not lose it. Ethan also needed to watch out for the archer above that was pretty deadly with his crossbow. There wasn't much thinking here and everything followed with high speed.
Ethan released the corpse he had been holding on and ran to the guard in the way while running (without stopping) grabbing own dagger that was pierced in ground. He used both daggers (first was the one he stole from first guard, other was his own) attempting to pierce them through the second guard's chest and kill him.
If this would be a success or not, Ethan would pull out the both daggers from the guard's chest (if he had hit). Then sprint boost ability to run towards the entrance of building with zig-zag motion. Because of his high speed and zig-zag motion he would make the archer's hit chances very low. Ethan wouldn't stop until he would run inside the building or run into another encounter.

The guard regained his balance and thought to attack the assassin once again. He held his dagger in his hand as he was about to attack, but was too late. He felt his life fading away as he looked down and saw two holes inside of him, pouring out blood. The assassin's attack was a success, as he was stabbed by the two daggers and killed. The guard used his last strength to pull out the daggers as he fell to the ground dead, with blood around his body. The Archer just witnessed two of his friends dying in front of him by one man. He shoot his arrow in rage for the deaths of the guards, but horrible missed them both. He then spotted a ladder near the rooftop as he used it to get down from the roof to the ground. He then reloaded his crossbow as he was cautious now from entering the building. He hoped the the guards inside were near so that they could help the archer.

They were, two medium armored guards were just at the stairs as he rushed down, and pulled out their weapons, one had a steel sword while the other had a war hammer. "Come on Assassin! You're dying now!" The guard with the hammer said as he ran towards the assassin and swung his hammer as he tried to hit one of the daggers out of his hand, but swinging the hammer right on to his hand. Hopefully the assassin would let go because of the pain. The guard with the sword stay around in the back waiting for his time to attack. The last guard, the heavy armored one was still upstairs with the Captain.

Ethan slammed the door open as he ran inside but soon noticed guards running down the stairs. That was bad news, plus one of them had a pretty deadly weapon that Ethan should watch out. Better yet he would act fast and get rid of the man before even the battle between them would begin.
Ethan used the dagger he stole and threw it towards neck of the guard with war hammer attempting to kill him.
He hadn't forgotten about the archer, not yet. If the attack was or wasn't a success, Ethan would run to the side of door (being aware that archer could probably see him doing that) just in case to be safe from getting shot from long range. If archer would run in, Ethan would attempt to grab him and stab with own dagger. If archer would put only his arm with crossbow inside and try to shoot, Ethan would grab the hand and before shooting would aim it to the both guard's side.

The guard with the war hammer ducked the dagger as it was aimed and thrown at his neck, as he swung his war hammer to try and trip the assassin. If this was successful the archer would aim and shoot another arrow if it wasn't the archer was still going to take the change to shoot it, even if the assassin would dodge it and there was also a chance that the archer would kill the war hammer guard. The other guard with his steel sword stayed in the back, as he thought it would be easier if he would go upstairs and tell the captain about the assassin. He turned around and made a run for it. The assassin had to kill the guard that was running if he didn't want to fight a 5 v 1 battle now and had a slim chance in winning.
